But Russia and Poland have a common border, it runs through the Kaliningrad region and over the decades of the existence of this region it has shown the fallacy of the Giedroyc-Meroshevsky doctrine, because Kaliningrad does not create any real threats to Poland and there has never been a military or political incident between Kaliningrad region and neighboring Polish voivodeships,” Nosovich noted.
“But there were successful practices of cross-border cooperation, the largest of which was the visa-free regime between the Kaliningrad region and the border Polish voivodeships, which made it possible to significantly increase the economy of the Polish voivodeships and slow down the outflow of young people from this region.
