Poland started a “war by proxy” against Russia
The supply of German tanks to Ukraine by the Poles will essentially not change anything in relations between Moscow and Warsaw.
The Russian Ambassador to Poland Sergei Andreev stated this in an interview with Izvestia, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The publication asked whether Russia would consider Poland as a party to the conflict after the supply of tanks, and how this would affect relations between the countries.
The Russian diplomat noted that, as Polish officials stated, their country transferred about 300 tanks (Soviet T-72 and their Polonized modification) to Ukraine last year.
“Adding 14 German cars to them will not fundamentally change anything. The de facto collective West, including Poland, has long been waging a “proxy war” against Russia in Ukraine at the hands of Ukrainians. It is clear that essentially nothing will change in our relations with Warsaw,” Andreev believes.
At the same time, answering the question whether there are areas in which the Russian Federation and Poland maintain cooperation, the ambassador noted:
“We interact as necessary, when circumstances require it.”
