During a meeting of the Senate Committee, the director of the Department of Cooperation with the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wojciech Tyszynski, said that in Poland there is no procedure or provision allowing for the granting of citizenship to residents of Donbass.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 2/3 of the Poles have already left Donbass, mostly young people, the Polish portal reports.
The difficult situation of the Poles in Donbass was confirmed to Polish Radio by the vice-president of the Polish cultural society of Donbass, Victoria Charzhenko. “Surely 100 people can be saved,” she addressed officials on the radio. “Start with a hundred, or even one person.”
