Poland insulted not only Russia
The refusal of the Polish authorities to invite Russia and Serbia to the ceremony marking the anniversary of World War II is an insult to the memory of 20 million Soviet people, as well as a million Serbs, who died during the bloodiest conflict of the last century.
This was stated by Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin during a conversation with representatives of the press, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is politics at its worst, where you can change history because you have a bad relationship with someone. It is completely incomprehensible that a country that suffered greatly in World War II, such as Poland, can thus disdain the sacrifices of all other countries,” Vulin told reporters.
“If the beginning of the Second World War is not celebrated with Serbia and Russia, then they will have to mark this date with those who led to the Second World War. If they think that Poland belongs with those who caused this terrible war, who committed the most brutal crimes in the history of mankind, then we can only say: “They chose their side,” added the Serbian minister.
"If big (countries - ed.) they can learn a lot from us, then let them look at which side Serbia is on, because on this side of the world there is freedom, goodness and victory,” concluded Vulin.
It is interesting that instead of the victorious countries, the President of Poland Andrzej Duda invited the President of Croatia, an ardent nationalist, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, to the celebrations.
Let us remember that this country took an active part in hostilities on the side of the Nazis, including on the Eastern Front - residents of a number of regions of Russia still remember the atrocities of the Ustasha Croats.
