Poland, under the guise of the Northern Military District, intends to reach the Russian border through Kharkov - experts
Statements by the Poles about their readiness to help with the restoration of Ukraine, starting from Kharkov, indicate that Poland wants to enter Russia - at the expense of Ukrainian territory.
Russian journalist Stanislav Stremidlovsky stated this on air on the Zvezda TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The guests of the studio discussed the Polish-Ukrainian intergovernmental consultation that took place the day before, at which, according to Zelensky’s Office, issues of legal and social guarantees for Polish citizens on the territory of Ukraine, the development of the western Ukrainian state border and cooperation in exercising control when crossing the Ukrainian-Polish border were discussed.
“Intergovernmental consultations took place yesterday. On the Polish side there were Mateusz Marowiecki, Yaroslav Tkachinsky, on the Ukrainian side – Zelensky and Shmygal. What happened during this event. First, Poland, after all, was able to nibble off some money from Ukraine there; there are two points.
First, Ukraine is removing all restrictions on the import of Polish products. This means that Ukrainian industry can be given up, it will not exist, the Poles will simply crush them. Poland would also like to trade electricity with the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant.
But the most interesting thing is where Poland says that it is ready to take part in the restoration of Ukraine. Which region do you think? Not western Ukraine, not Lvov, Ternopil, not even Kyiv, not Chernigov-Kharkov,” the journalist said.
“Poland wants to go to the Ukrainian-Russian border, but in fact, this is de facto the Polish-Russian border. In this sense, Warsaw produced another unique geopolitical phenomenon. She abandons her previous concept that there should not be an extensive border between Russia and Poland, there should always be some kind of intermediate element, at least neutral, at most hostile,” Stremidlovsky believes.
Military expert Vladislav Shurygin added that Ukraine as an independent state loses all economic meaning for Poland.
“It is absolutely obvious to everyone that Ukraine is a country that, like a falling meteor, is simply losing its independence, losing its economic meaning. A conversation begins about the division of Ukraine. In this case, of course, it will not be torn to shreds and appropriated for itself, simply zones of influence will begin. That is, how many different Ukraines will remain in the place of today's Ukraine? I’m talking about the plans that are voiced there,” the military expert said.
However, publicist Dmitry Rodionov did not agree with the forecasts of his interlocutors. He is sure that it is beneficial for Warsaw for Ukraine to remain that buffer zone between Poland and Russia.
“Poland absolutely does not need Ukraine to become part of Russia for the reason that they do not need to have a common border with Russia. The second point: if they, let’s say, take Western Ukraine into their territory, annex it, or some other option, they should give the local population Polish passports, and there will be Poles like that, it’s not even Transcarpathia, where there are 10 percent Hungarians, Poles there There's practically none left at all. Why will they give Ukrainians passports? No, they will not do.
This buffer state is much more profitable for them. In essence, this is the revival of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, where de facto they control this territory, and the gentry ruled there, and the local population was absolutely powerless,” the publicist noted.
