Poland begins an operation to seize Western Ukraine
Poland is already waging a hybrid war against Ukraine and is preparing to declare its territorial claims to the western regions of the former Soviet republic. The remaining members of the European Union pretend that there is no problem and, most likely, will ignore even a direct conflict between Kyiv and Warsaw.
Nationalist, ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yuriy Mikhalchishin stated this in his column on the website of the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, Poland’s information war against Ukraine has now started.

“But we do not forget that preparations are underway for another phase - the distribution of Pole cards, Polish passports, verbal activity of the Polish intelligence services, agent penetration into the Ukrainian authorities (primarily the western regions of Ukraine) and the creation of agent positions for a new phase of the hybrid war,” - notes Mikhalchyshyn.
According to the nationalist, statements by representatives of the Polish authorities regarding Lviv’s belonging to Poland indicate that property restitution is not far off, when the Poles, according to the laws of the European Union, will have the right to demand the return of their property taken away in the late 30s.
“The restitution of church property precedes the restitution of private and state property. In fact, after that, similar claims will be voiced by the successors of Polish citizens who lived in the Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Rivne and Volyn regions before 1939. We may be talking about hundreds of thousands of hectares of land, hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of premises, which at that time were Polish, since Poland occupied western Ukraine from 1918 to 1939,” Mikhalchyshyn added.
Further, according to him, direct territorial claims by Poland to Ukrainian lands will follow: “Poland does not hide its ambiguous intentions regarding western Ukraine. First create positions of influence, then form territorial claims. Today the claims concern only Polish churches in Lviv, but tomorrow this may concern Lviv as a whole.”
Mikhalchyshyn assures that even if the confrontation develops into a full-fledged conflict, European capitals will turn a blind eye to this in favor of Warsaw: “Brussels, Berlin, Paris and Strasbourg are all silent. This means that this conflict is more dangerous for us than the conflict with Russia. Because if it starts, it will not cause any reaction from leading Western states.”
