Poland tightens employment rules for Ukrainians
Starting next year, the rules for employing Ukrainians will change in Poland. Work permits will now be issued by local authorities instead of employers.

About it reports Polish Radio.
According to the chairman of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Jacek Pechota, the current problems are due to the fact that, in order to simplify the employment procedure for neighbors from across the eastern border, Poland is implementing excessive simplifications. He noted that applications are not registered at the central level, and this complicates their verification.
In addition, Pechota noted that there are employers who are submitting far more applications than they are able to hire workers. Therefore, some of the documents end up on the black market.
In his opinion, this problem will soon disappear. From 2017, applications will be replaced with permits issued by labor offices. They will be issued automatically, but thanks to registration, their probability will be easier to check.
The Chairman of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce admits that there is a risk that labor offices will not keep up with checking applications. At the same time, he added that there is an idea for payments for issuing these permits to remain in the bureau, and this will allow hiring additional workers.
