Poland is waiting for a US order to seize Grodno and Brest
Poland may declare territorial claims against Belarus and attempt to annex border areas on command from Washington.
Polish political scientist Mateusz Piskorski, a former member of the Sejm, said this on air on the Pravda Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, Poland has not pursued an independent foreign policy for a long time, but uses instructions coming from the United States.
“The Polish leadership has long no longer had an independent geopolitics and foreign policy in general. And this is noticeable - pay attention to such coincidences: Mr. Pompeo comes to Poland, visited Warsaw on August 15, and at the same time the Polish Prime Minister makes another statement that yes, we will support the Belarusian opposition and so on.
Because they received instructions on how to act, how to behave in relation to the Belarusian crisis, because before Pompeo’s arrival the Polish government had no clear line at all, they did not know how to react, how to respond to what was happening,” said Piskorsky.
At the same time, the expert emphasized that if a command comes from Washington, Poland will gladly take Grodno and Brest for itself:
“Territorial claims can arise when there is one’s own policy. Now, if the external curators of Poland give the order - “Everyone, annex Grodno and Brest,” this will happen - then yes, the Poles will be happy to do this, since such a command has been sent.
But so far there is no such order, there are no such instructions, there is not even such a possibility, because everything here is done only with the permission and according to the instructions of the external curators of Polish eastern policy.”
