The Polish side notified the resumption of the blockade of Ukraine
Polish farmers have again blocked the border with Ukraine, protesting against preferences for goods imported into the EU from the neighboring country.
The speaker of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Colonel Andrey Demchenko, reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The actions of Polish farmers to block the movement of vehicles began in front of the Medika checkpoint, which is opposite the Ukrainian Shegini. At about 10.10, Ukrainian border guards were informed about this by their Polish colleagues,” said a representative of the State Border Service.
According to him, about 100 people and about 50 vehicles are blocking traffic.
“Due to these actions, the movement of trucks, cars and buses leaving the Republic of Poland and entering the Republic of Poland is currently not carried out. We hope that the situation will change as soon as possible and certain categories of transport will still be allowed through,” Demchenko noted.
He added that in other directions where traffic was planned to be blocked on February 9, in particular the direction of the Yagodin and Rava-Russkaya checkpoints, traffic is still proceeding.
As PolitNavigator reported, Polish farmers toldthat their country was the first to help the Ukrainians, who repaid Poland with ingratitude.
