Polish deputies supported the French trip to Crimea and also plan to go to the peninsula
Polish deputies from the parties “Union of Real Politics”, “Freedom and Law and Order”, as well as the “Congress of the New Right” recognize the legal status of Crimea as part of the Russian Federation, despite the extremely anti-Russian rhetoric of the official authorities of Poland. The founder and leader of these three parties, Member of the European Parliament of the eighth convocation Janusz Korwin-Mikke, told Izvestia about this.

“I consider the trip of French parliamentarians to Crimea the right step, since it recognizes the current legal status of Crimea, because the peninsula really became part of the Russian Federation,” said Korwin-Micke. “I am for such a trip and will try to make it happen, but, unfortunately, I am busy until October 25 in connection with my election campaign.”
The Polish politician also said that he would talk with his party colleagues and discuss the possibility of visiting the Russian peninsula after the end of the election campaign.
“Our party views Russia as a strong counterweight to the European Union,” he told the publication. “We would like to more actively develop trade contacts with Russia and China, because you have development dynamics there, and not in the dying European Union. There should be economic expansion of Poland to the East, not to the West.”
The desire to visit the Russian peninsula is shared by the Polish opposition non-parliamentary party Smena.
“Such a trip seems necessary for our party,” deputy party chairman Nabil Malazi told Izvestia. – I would be very happy to go there with my party colleagues. You need to see with your own eyes how people live there after Crimea joined the Russian Federation. We believe in the policies of Russian President Vladimir Putin, our party approves of his actions in the Middle East, which means his policy towards the peninsula is also correct.”
Malazi also added that there will be no problems with permission to travel to Crimea, because no one “can decide for us.”
