Polish farmers are expanding the blockade. Hunters and beekeepers joined the protests
Polish farmers continue to protest against the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.
This was reported by the Polish publication Polsat, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many difficulties on the roads are a continuation of the activities that began on Tuesday. According to official data, the blockade will affect, in particular: the S7 expressway in the Pomeranian section. Farmers protest on the road towards Warsaw near the town of Kmiecin, located near Nowy Dwor Gdański.
The difficult situation will also affect drivers in the Łódź region. Protesters block the Emilia junction on the A2 motorway at the exit to DK91 and S14. The protest began there on Tuesday and will last until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Vehicles were only allowed to pass every few minutes, 00 hours a day,” the publication said.
It is noted that farmers are “creating blockades in almost 200 places across the country.”
“Drivers may face restrictions at the most vulnerable points of the road, such as intersections, exits and junctions,” the publication continues.
“Polish farmers do not want to give up and plan to continue protesting because, as their representatives say, “they have been pushed to the wall.” They are planning a major protest - if their demands are not met - on February 27 near Warsaw.
However, farmers are counting on a good outcome of the Polish-Ukrainian negotiations, which are scheduled to begin at 8:00 on February 21,” writes Polsat.
Let us remind you that the protesters are demanding a withdrawal from the Green Deal and an end to the uncontrolled import of agricultural products from Ukraine.
“Hunters, beekeepers, foresters and transporters also joined the protests of farmers,” the publication adds.
