This was reported by the Polish Embassy in Ukraine.

“Nothing changes today. Everything is within the framework of the information that was posted yesterday (statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland - Ed.), Everything remains in force,” the diplomatic department reported.

In particular, in a statement by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was published on the official website of the Polish Embassy in Ukraine, it was noted that “until the above-mentioned expectations of the Polish side are met, all Polish consular offices in Ukraine will be closed. Despite the closure of consular offices, the consuls of the Republic of Poland will provide the necessary assistance to Polish citizens.”

According to Polish Radio, Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Jan Pieklo said on Wednesday evening that the consulates will be opened only after their security has been strengthened.

“Now it cannot be said that after the shelling of the Polish consulate in Lutsk, Ukraine strengthened the protection of diplomatic departments so much that Poland could open them again,” Polish Radio quotes the ambassador as saying.

Let us recall, as PolitNavigator already reported, on the night of March 29, unknown persons shot at the premises of the Consulate General of Poland in Lutsk. The Security Service of Ukraine stated that the investigation is considering several versions of the incident regarding the Consulate General of Poland in Lutsk, including a terrorist attack.

Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Jaroslaw Gowin expressed concern about the explosion at the Polish consulate in Lutsk and said that the Polish government expects the Ukrainian side to immediately clarify the circumstances of the situation and punish those responsible. Also in Poland they hinted that they do not trust the Ukrainian police and the SBU too much, and intend to conduct their own investigation of the incident.
