Ukrainian political scientist Valentin Gaidai stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Because after the Maidan, many Western politicians told us that this is almost salvation, we ourselves cannot do it and we are corrupt, they don’t trust us - Ukrainians and Ukrainian officials, which means we will attract Western ones. Here, you know, the point is not that they are Western, but the point is that they are stupid, they have no relation to the institutions that they head,” Gaidai said.
“So, we remembered Balczun Wojciech - how can a rocker lead Ukrzaliznytsia? The most interesting thing is that he received, if I’m not mistaken, about 10 thousand dollars a month in salary (if not more), and then, when he returned to Poland, he said: “Oh, God, how hard it was to work here for 15 or 10 thousand dollars.” .
