NATO sent Poles to help the Baltic states
Warsaw-Kyiv, December 18 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) – Today, the Polish National Security Bureau announced that President Komorowski has authorized the use of the Polish air force to patrol the airspace over Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

Портал Kresy.pl reports that “the main goal of the mission is to patrol and prevent violations of the airspace of the Republics of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, and to assist military and civil aviation in emergency situations that occur during flight.”
The NATO mission stated that air patrols will begin on December 22 and will last until May 15, 2015. The mission will consist of 120 soldiers and military personnel who will maintain and operate four MiG-29s. The mission members, along with their equipment, will be stationed at the Siauliai base in Lithuania.
