This was reported by the Ukrainian website “Correspondent” with reference to the Polish portal TVN 24.

The charges reportedly concern workers at a military logistics base in Warsaw.

In particular, one and a half thousand blankets and mattresses were missing from the cargo intended for the Ukrainian military and sent by the Polish Ministry of Defense in September 2014.

“As part of the investigation, charges have been brought against 18 people, including eight former and current soldiers, seven civil servants and three civilians,” said Warsaw Deputy District Military Prosecutor Ryszard Filipowicz.

In particular, the former manager of a warehouse in Warsaw has been charged with abuse of power to obtain benefits, forgery of documents and obstruction of criminal proceedings.

As previously reported, in December 2014, the Polish Ministry of Defense sent humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the amount of three million euros. The humanitarian cargo included dry rations, blankets, pillows and mattresses.
