About it reported by the Institute of National Remembrance of Poland.

After dismantling, the monuments will be moved to an open-air museum. It is expected to open next year on the territory of the former Soviet military base in Borne Sulinovo, which was controlled first by the USSR and then by Russia until 1993.

The institute assures that it does not intend to dismantle monuments in military cemeteries.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to the words of the chairman of the institute, Lukasz Kaminski, about the intention to dismantle monuments to Soviet soldiers, saying that Poland is waging a “war on monuments” and this could greatly worsen the already difficult relations between Warsaw and Moscow.
