Polish gas reverse to Ukraine is canceled

Earlier, the head of Gazprom stated that Ukraine’s need for Russian gas has doubled since May 1. Russian gas supplies to Ukraine increased at the end of April and amounted to about 12-13 million cubic meters per day. Ukrainian imports of Russian gas on May 1 and 2 amounted to 19,7 million cubic meters per day, and on May 3 – 18,2 million cubic meters per day.
At the same time, Miller confirmed the transfer of another $40 million by Naftogaz. “Today Naftogaz of Ukraine made an advance payment of $40 million for supplies of Russian gas,” he noted.
NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine makes an advance payment to Gazprom for the supply of blue fuel in tranches of 20-40 million dollars. The last one, in the amount of 40 million dollars, was received by the Russian company on May 5. According to official statements from Ukrainian and Russian companies, Naftogaz transferred $110 million to Gazprom in April.
