“The loan portfolio is UAH 43 billion, of which 83% is in foreign currencies. The technical default has actually continued since April. Forced collections continue in connection with Donetsk debts. 780 million was forcibly withdrawn from our accounts. Also, 108 million was forcibly collected from our clients in favor of WOG,” Balchun informed.
Also, according to his data, Ukrzaliznytsia lost in court for UAH 500 million and $50 million.
And Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman promised to make Ukrzaliznytsia one of the most successful in the country.
“I am ready to support initiatives to implement modernization. “I am ready to destroy any mafia that may approach Ukrzaliznytsia,” the prime minister emphasized.
According to Groysman, Ukrzaliznytsia has all the potential to be a billionaire, but instead it is “chronically shrouded in corruption, inefficiency and theft.”
“There were no repairs to the wagons, zero locomotives, fuel at exorbitant prices, spare parts at exorbitant prices, thousands of contracts with intermediaries – billions outside of Ukrzaliznytsia. What about the citizens of Ukraine? Dirty carriages, the inability to buy tickets and everything else, and for manufacturers the inability to transport goods across the country,” he described the current state of affairs in the company.
