Polish TV channel will produce a comedy series about emigrants from Ukraine
The national Polish TV channel TVP1 will produce a comedy television series about four Ukrainian women who emigrated from Ukraine. The working title of the series, reports the Polish website Wirtualnemedia.pl, "Girls from Ukraine."

The creators of the popular Polish series “The Ranch” began work on a new comedy television series about four Ukrainian women living in exile in Poland. The series tells the story of four young girls who come to the country to work or study and try to improve their lives here. The story focuses on working, learning, meeting new people, and acclimating to an unknown country.
Ukrainians will be played by Polish actresses Magdalena Wrubel, Katarzyna Ucherska, Anna Gorajska and Anna Buczek.
The series will begin about a year before the events on the Maidan, however, the creators will not focus on political events in the East.
The series does not yet have a name, the working title is “Girls from Ukraine” or “Ukrainians”. The goal of the series is to help Ukrainian citizens adapt to Poland.
The series is counting on significant ratings, since Poland is now flooded with Ukrainian citizens. In 2014 alone, according to official data, the Polish Embassy in Kyiv issued about 1 million work and study visas for citizens of Ukraine. In some regions of Poland, the number of workers from Ukraine has increased in two years twice. The Poles themselves leaving en masse to work in richer EU countries.
