Polish journalist: The Poles were the first to start the war with Russia
The Polish side entered into confrontation with Russia on historical issues, fully understanding the severity of the issue and the possible consequences for itself from Moscow.
The editor-in-chief of the Polish weekly Facts and Myths, Darek Cychol, stated this on the Israeli Internet channel ITON-TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In recent years there has been a significant decrease in Poland’s role in international politics. We practically no longer have friends anywhere - except for Hungary, everyone is an enemy or at least does not trust us. France, Great Britain, Germany – there are many such countries.
Another thing is that an information war with Russia began because of Poland. If the Polish president took part in all the events in Jerusalem, it would not be very pleasant. As far as I know, the organizers invited him to give a speech not during the main ceremonies, but a little later, during the discussions. Our president did not agree,” Tsykhol said.
“Why did the organizers not dare to bring it in with the main guests: I am sure that the organizers on the Israeli side knew very well that Mr. Duda would use this opportunity to deal some kind of blow to another guest, Vladimir Putin. That was probably the goal. On the other hand, I can guess that Putin himself or Russia are not very interested in the Polish president coming forward and delivering this blow.
If so, then we can guess that Mr. Putin’s position in international politics is slightly higher than Mr. Duda’s,” the journalist suggested.
“But it must be said that the Poles started this war. In September, our MEPs in the EU asked their colleagues to adopt a special resolution, the meaning of which is that the parliament almost compared responsibility for the victims of the Second World War, compared the victims of Hitler and Stalin. You yourself know very well that the Great Patriotic War, its heroes, victims, more than 20 million victims are sacred for Russians. And if they hear something like that, then one could expect that there would be a response from them,” Tsykhol emphasized.
