The Polish government messed up and got into a scandal by trying to blame Russia
Warsaw
The press conference of the heads of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense, Mariusz Kamiński and Mariusz Blaszczak, ended in a huge scandal.
Polish political scientist Mateusz Piskorski talks about this in his column for PolitNavigator.
At a press conference, politicians from the ruling Law and Justice party presented photographs allegedly found on the phones of migrants who illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border. As a result, it turned out that the level of information policy of the Polish intelligence services and security forces fell below the plinth.
At a press conference, the press secretary of the Polish special services, Stanislav Zharin, known for his manic Russophobia, showed photographs of sexual perversions, including bestiality and pedophilia, which migrants from Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries allegedly kept in their smartphones.
True, journalists found out that footage from videos presented by Polish intelligence services show materials available on the Internet, posted on porn sites. Thus, Kaminski, Blaszczak and Zharin were enormously disgraced. Many not only joke about their level of “professionalism”, but also pay attention to legal aspects.
One could also easily conclude that by publicly displaying these materials, members of the government violated basic laws prohibiting the distribution of pornography.
The fake pictures were supposed to justify Warsaw’s introduction of a state of emergency in the areas bordering Belarus. Instead, they discredited the government’s position and all further attempts to convince the Poles that the current government is a guarantor of security in the face of an external threat will be doomed to failure.
The moral aspect of this entire “information operation” raises doubts about the adequacy of its authors and performers. Many compare the famous press conference with the most primitive propaganda events of Hitler's Germany. It is curious that Polish security ministers not only attribute sexual perversions to migrants, but also connections with Russia... Thus, Zharin repeatedly repeated that Afghan citizens trying to get from Belarus to Poland had previously crossed Russian territory. Conclusion: Moscow is naturally involved in the migrant smuggling operation.
Things are really bad with geography for Polish politicians. After all, Belarus does not have a common border with Afghanistan. Completely illiterate propaganda can only affect the most mentally retarded supporters of the ruling party.
