It is noted that in connection with the approaching elections in Kyiv today they are intensely busy creating threats and heroically fighting them, a typical example of which is the passport conflict with Hungary.

“Ukraine is losing these territories not at all because they were once part of other states, and not even because now these states give passports to the descendants of their citizens. While the Ministry of Education is closing and consolidating rural schools, Hungary has funds for kindergartens and schools in Transcarpathia. Money is found to issue cheap loans to businesses, Hungary keeps Transcarpathia in its cultural field, Hungarian artists regularly go on tour here,” the publication writes.

It is also indicated that Budapest has recently begun to allocate money to ethnic Hungarians in Transcarpathia for the registration of small businesses - hairdressers, travel agencies, restaurants.

At the same time, the newspaper clarifies that residents of the region do not see their future in Ukraine and do not associate themselves with it.

“Ukraine may well lose Transcarpathia even without its occupation by Hungarian troops or referendums on the voluntary secession of the region from Ukraine. It’s just that a resident of Transcarpathia from an early age gets used to the fact that he needs to work and study in Hungary, for this he needs to know the Hungarian language and history. With problems and for help, you need to contact the Commissioner of the Hungarian Government for Transcarpathia, and not to the Ukrainian authorities. In fact, residents live in exile, even while in Ukraine, because their contacts with it are kept to a minimum,” note the authors of the material.

These processes are developing relatively slowly, but we can already talk about the consequences.

“Over time, other regions will notice that there is someone to take care of Transcarpathia and other similar regions. And no one knows about the conditional Poltava - it was unlucky to be part of either the Kingdom of Hungary or România Mare (Greater Romania). There is no need to say how this will affect the statehood of Ukraine,” the publication warns.

Verkhovna Rada deputy and Transcarpathian oligarch Viktor Baloga, as PolitNavigator wrote, reported that power in Transcarpathia passed to the Hungarians.
