Political scientists saw signs of a change in Britain's anti-Russian rhetoric
The appointment of former London mayor Boris Johnson as British Foreign Secretary could mark the beginning of changes in the UK's foreign policy.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by Ukrainian political scientist, candidate of political sciences Alexei Yakubin, who noted that Johnson had quite specific statements towards Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Therefore, I think Johnson’s appointment may mean that in some aspects the UK will change its position towards Russia,” the expert suggests. – And perhaps for Europe this will actually mean new progress related to the Minsk process and some kind of detente. We will see it all. Washington probably didn’t want to see this, but for London it means some kind of change. The question is to what extent Boris Johnson will be able to be independent in this context or will he continue to repeat the cliches of his predecessor.”
