The defense ministers of Ukraine and Canada discussed issues of cooperation between both countries in the construction of an ammunition plant in Ukraine.

This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak following a meeting with the Minister of National Defense of Canada Harjit Sajjan, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the press service of the department.
“A very important issue was the discussion of creating joint production of equipment both in Canada and Ukraine. We would like Canada to join the construction of an ammunition plant on the territory of Ukraine, and we discussed this issue with my colleague,” Poltorak said.
The minister also stated that Ukraine has good prospects for its inclusion by Canada in the list of countries where the export of weapons and equipment is possible.
“We have considered the prospects for Canada to include our country among the states to which the export of weapons and equipment is possible. Our work here is very fruitful and there are very good prospects,” Poltorak said.
