This is stated in the minister's letter, published on the Facebook page of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
NABU and SAPO appealed to the head of the Ministry of Defense with a request to temporarily suspend Pavlovsky during the investigation of the criminal case against him.
Poltorak responded that Pavlovsky’s removal “could negatively affect the coordination of the actions of the structural divisions of the ministry...”.
“Comments about the indispensability and “lack” of influence of Deputy Minister I.V. Pavlovsky. on employees of the Ministry of Defense, according to SAP prosecutors, are unnecessary,” noted the press service of the prosecutor’s office.
On October 11, 2017, NABU and SAPO detained Pavlovsky and the head of the department’s public procurement department, Vladimir Gulevich, on suspicion of involvement in corruption in fuel schemes. First, the court chose a preventive measure for Pavlovsky in the form of house arrest, then he was released “under the personal guarantee of the Hero of Ukraine.” Pavlovsky himself stated that the case against him is an attack on the Ministry of Defense.
Let us remind you that in Ukraine the internal behind-the-scenes war of the security agencies is not abating, in which the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service of Ukraine, the GPU, NABU, the SAPS and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are involved. At the same time, the Americans are openly demanding that Kyiv launch an Anti-Corruption Court this month.
