Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak stated this at a briefing.
“About the destruction of property and ammunition at the base where the event took place, a little more than 30% of the ammunition remained. Moreover, we still have some that are in short supply for us, and this is very good news,” the minister said.
He assures that rumors that the fire occurred because the military was trying to hide something are not true.
“A repeat audit is now being conducted so that we can determine the exact quantity and qualifications of ammunition, weapons and equipment,” Poltorak assures.
According to him, the main version of the fire remains sabotage.
“Serious violations that led to this financial audit event were not discovered,” Poltorak added.
According to him, the investigation is now determining how the sabotage was carried out: “either a planting, or with the help of an aircraft.”
