Poltorak caved in to Chubarov - “Askerov” Islyamov is ready to officially enlist in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

“On Monday, February 13, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak and the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, during a meeting discussed the events that occurred on the night of February 13, 2017 near the village of Chongar. In addition, the prospects and procedure for conscripting citizens of various nationalities who come from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol for military service under a contract as part of the Crimean unit of the Marine Brigade of the Naval Forces of Ukraine were also discussed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to consider applications from members of the Asker public association, who will identify, in the manner prescribed by the legislation of Ukraine, a voluntary desire to serve as part of the Crimean unit of the Navy Marine Brigade,” the message says.
It is noted that the formation of this unit will take into account the religion and traditions of the personnel. In addition, conditions will be created to meet the religious needs of believers of various religious denominations, namely, representatives of various faiths will be involved in pastoral work.
