Poltorak told what types of weapons will be purchased for the Ukrainian Armed Forces
In 2018, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will primarily purchase anti-tank weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-sniper systems and Oplot tanks.

This was announced by Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, the department’s press service reports.
“We have clearly defined priorities for planning the use of resources for this year, including in the State Defense Order. There are priorities related to the purchase of anti-tank weapons, the purchase of electronic warfare and technical reconnaissance equipment, the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles, anti-sniper systems, the completion of the development and industrial production of the Alder missile, as well as the purchase of Oplot tanks,” Poltorak said.
According to him, purchases will increase from 3 to 10 times.
“This will give us the opportunity to increase the efficiency of the use of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation,” the minister noted.
