This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak on his page on the social network, commenting on the upcoming participation of the head of the Pentagon J. Matisse in the military parade in Kyiv in honor of the next anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
“The Ukrainian side highly appreciates the arrival of the US delegation led by the US Secretary of Defense on the occasion of the celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine. Participation in the celebrations is an extremely powerful signal from the United States of continued consistent support for Ukraine. This is especially important for Ukraine, given the development of the security situation in Europe and in the world,” the minister wrote.
According to him, the United States is the “main strategic partner” for Ukraine in all dimensions – political, military and economic.
