This was announced by the head of the Main Directorate of Communications and Information Systems of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladimir Rapko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He explained that the defense department had issued a decree according to which permission to use mobile phones would be issued to military personnel by their immediate commanders.

“Every morning at 8:00, 100-200 phones gather in one place. What does the enemy understand from this? Either it's breakfast, or it's a briefing, or it's formation. And you need to press a button and give a command. You can use it if you approach it wisely. It is impossible to foresee all cases, so unit commanders prohibit it in order to preserve the life and health of people,” Rapko explained.

According to him, commanders must carry out explanatory work with their subordinates in the combat zone in Donbass. They are the ones who should explain that the phone can only be used in extreme cases.
