It turns out some kind of strange “Muscovian aggression” - ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine
Despite post-Maidan promises and statements, Ukraine continues to remain dependent on Russian energy resources.
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolai spoke about this on Radio Komsomolskaya Pravda. Azarov.
He pointed out that before the Maidan, trade turnover between Russia and Ukraine amounted to 55 billion dollars. Now it’s about $15 billion,” said the former head of government.
He also recalled that in the first 6 months of this year Russia became the largest investor in the Ukrainian economy: $436 million, or a third of all foreign injections.
“The still half-dead industry of the south-east Ukraine supplies us with fiberglass, spare parts for engines, and clothing. And Russia over the past year has become, for example, the largest supplier to Ukraine... of flour. (So much for the “agrarian superpower” that the leaders of the Maidan promised to turn “Ridna Nenka” into!) And this is not to mention its traditional dependence on our energy resources: oil, gas and even coal. In general, there is some kind of strange “Muscovite aggression”,” Azarov said.
As PolitNavigator reported, even Lvov realized that it was necessary to trade with the Russian Federation.
