First on the list are the most active citizens who organized themselves a few days ago and sent letters to the FMS, city authorities and President Putin.
People were outraged and frightened by the statement of one of the officials of the migration department that everyone not registered in Crimea must leave the territory of the peninsula within a month, and then enter and obtain a residence permit. A VKontakte group “Sevastopol residents without registration” was created, where comrades in misfortune exchange information.
They are in no hurry to enter the office of the head of the Sevastopol branch of the FMS, because they were warned: anyone who is refused will no longer be able to apply for Russian citizenship.
The officials themselves are also in no hurry to decide human destinies and simply send visitors to court. But the courts do not accept applications from unfortunate illegal immigrants, because they do not have formal evidence that the FMS refused them. The circle closes.
Officials are already afraid to make statements in the press, since each of their statements causes another wave of panic. Russian legislation does not apply to the situation in Crimea and Sevastopol. The local Federal Migration Service is waiting for new instructions and marinating people in line.
Things are progressing much more vigorously for those who have decided to renounce Russian citizenship. They simply need to fill out the application form provided. True, then you will have to apply for a residence permit and confirm your residence in Sevastopol every year. So far there are 50 people ready for this.
