Semi-abandoned Victory Park in Sevastopol will be taken into the ring of high-rise buildings and luxury cottages (PHOTO)
Sevastopol, September 19 (PolitNavigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – On September 18, the Urban Planning Council of the Sevastopol government generally approved the concept for the development of Victory Park in the Gagarinsky district.
Final approval is planned at subsequent meetings of the Urban Planning Council after revision.

Architect Dmitry Fuklev, who spoke, noted that the main goal of the project is to preserve the green zone of the park and harmonize the architectural style of new buildings with the already erected buildings.
At the same time, the main problem, in his opinion, is the existing land allocations for individual residential development, which are used for the construction of apartment buildings and apartments.
The project provides for a pedestrian embankment and cascading development of residential areas - from two-story buildings near the seashore to 12-story buildings around the central alley of Victory Park, as well as 2 radial transport lines.
The presented three-dimensional layout reflects all future high-rise buildings. Noteworthy are the series of high-rise hotels on the eastern shore of Streletskaya Bay, opposite the Black Sea Fleet missile boat base, and the multi-storey buildings from the Aquamarine complex right up to the cadet school.
Among other things, the concept proposes the scandalous “Leningrad Quarter” on the shore of Kruglaya Bay, the project of which has not yet been publicly considered by the government.
In the hall, the head of the department of architecture and urban planning, Igor Malozemov, once again reminded that the Leningrad Quarter, like the 16-story Carbona building, falls into the protected zone of the Tauride Chersonese Nature Reserve. If confirmed by the reserve, any construction on these areas is prohibited.
In comments to PolitNavigator, the official stated that the layout does not reflect the real concept.
“The model shows what would happen if the projects planned by Carbon, the Leningrad Quarter and the yacht club were implemented on this part of the peninsula (on the shore of the bay - ed.),” Malozemov clarified.
Another interpretation of the concept was given in the comments by the architect Fuklev. He assured that on the model, 30-story high-rise buildings are “truncated” to 12, and soon the concept will be presented for public discussion.
Let us remind you that residents of Sevastopol have repeatedly spoken out against illegal construction and the destruction of green spaces in the park.
In recent years, there has been a large-scale redistribution of park and coastal land. By its decisions, the City Council allocated land for residential and individual buildings, hotels and entertainment facilities.
Victory Park was founded for the 30th anniversary of the Victory in 1975; its area is about 50 hectares. Now the park is in a deplorable state - part of its territory has been built up, many trees have died due to lack of care and watering in recent years.
