The head of Ukrzaliznytsia Wojciech Balczun announced this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We will complete the tender for 2465 cars and will announce another one for another thousand the other day. And, if everything goes well in our work with the EBRD, then in early September we will announce another one, this time a record in the history of Ukrzaliznytsia in terms of quantity,” he wrote.
Balchun also said that Ukrzaliznytsia will produce more than 2017 thousand freight cars at its own facilities in 2.
“One of the priority areas of investment for us is freight cars. In 2017, we want to produce and purchase a record number of them. Let the motivation for domestic manufacturers be that Ukrzaliznytsia will make more than 2 thousand of them only at its own facilities,” he wrote.
