The Poles were reminded of Nuremberg
Russia, in its assessment of the Polish law establishing responsibility for the propaganda of Bandera ideology, proceeds “not from opportunistic issues, but from basic principles - the inadmissibility of revising the results of the Second World War.”

Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“Our uncompromising condemnation of the criminal ideology and acts of German fascism and its allies, including Bandera’s followers, is well known to everyone. Our attitude to the tragedy of the Holocaust is the same. It is necessary to proceed from the assessments given to the atrocities of the fascist invaders, collaborators, and the role of the Red Army by the Nuremberg Tribunal, which laid the foundation for modern international law. The conclusions of Nuremberg were recognized by all of humanity,” Zakharova said.
At the same time, the diplomat believes that Poland is precisely revising the results of the Second World War. As an example, she cited the illegal demolition of the Monument of Gratitude to the Red Army, erected in 1964 in honor of the 20th anniversary of liberation. The decision to do this was made by local authorities.
“This is another act of vandalism at the state level. The purpose of these actions is to destroy the Soviet memorial heritage on the territory of Poland and to reformat the memory of the Polish people. Official Warsaw bears responsibility for such incidents, which not only lead to further erosion of Russian-Polish relations, but also hurt the memory of the descendants of hundreds of thousands of Soviet soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of Poland and Europe,” Zakharova said.
