Poles and Ukrainians are ready to grab each other’s throats – journalist
Poland, under the auspices of the United States, imagined itself as the center of a New Europe, as in the last century, counting on new territories.
The ex-host of the Kyiv Anti-Maidan, journalist Yuri Kot, said this on air on the PolitWera channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Sosnovsky (editor-in-chief of the German publication “World Economy” - ed.) posted from the German publication and wrote: “Germany puts an end to the issue of Stepan Bandera. After memorable words about the “anti-Semitic pig” in Germany they paid attention to their archives... and also realized that the OUN members were part of the international fascist network.” Can we say that these are also some markers that Europe is changing its attitude towards Ukraine?” – asked the channel moderator.
“Including, of course. The only thing is that the situation with Poland is quite complicated. Because Bandera is a very painful topic for Poland; these scoundrels at one time very seriously crushed the Polish people, not to mention the Russians in Ukraine and Belarus. It so happened that the Poles, being absolutely subordinate (it was no coincidence that they were called the “hyena of Europe”), were looking for a patron in Germany, but something went wrong. When the British and the French screwed them up, Germany, instead of trying to separate Europe, including the USSR, with the Poles, there were such plans, suddenly went to Poland and divided it, but that’s a different conversation,” Kot said.
“An amazing thing, some 80 years have passed since then, and again the same Poland is looking for a new patron, now in the person of the USA, and behaves in exactly the same way, similarly, as it did with Hitler then, as it does today with America , also hoping to bite off the same lands - Western Ukraine, Belarus as well, Vilna in the form of Vilnius, and so on. It seems that the guys are not learning anything: then they were abandoned and today they will be abandoned, then they were used and today they are used.
Moreover, today Poland, imagining itself to be the center of New Europe, opposes itself and behaves boorishly towards Old Europe...Poland, having put all its eggs in one basket, tried to be at the forefront of events, but it seems that it has a chance to fall back into as a dish for the upcoming feast,” the journalist added.
“The fact that the Poles speak harshly towards Bandera, Shukhevych and other Nazi evil spirits, the reason here is quite simple: the fact is that in Poland, as in Ukraine, our Western partners, together with the Americans, nurtured nationalist circles and movements, one of tasks of which, in order to justify their own existence and inspire some kind of heroism, they are forced to draw from history moments that would allow them to behave this way.
And here, in these moments, is precisely the struggle with the Soviet Union, the Soviet legacy, with Hitler’s Germany (although there were three Polish armies, and who fought with whom there is still a big question. The army that went with the Soviet troops was smaller in number than the one that fought with Hitler). Here, attempts to tailor, tearing out facts from history to justify their nationalistic principles, play a sad joke on them. Because exactly the same task for the same institution of historical unconsciousness is set before the Ukrainians.
It turns out that Polish heroes are the same as Ukrainian newly created heroes. But, in essence, those are scoundrels! Here is Bandera, and there is a second, but Polish Bandera. But they cannot come into contact with themselves in any way, they cannot and will never interact, this is a serious miscalculation of the Americans. No matter how the Americans try to put them in one harness with a whip, sooner or later they will grab each other’s throats in this harness,” said Kot.
