The Poles dream of dragging Ukraine into NATO
In Poland, they want to see Ukraine as a member of NATO more than the Ukrainians themselves are in favor of it.
This is evidenced by the results of the “Security Radar 2019” study conducted by the Ebert Foundation in France, Germany, Latvia, Poland, Serbia, Ukraine and Russia, which were presented today in Moscow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
56% of respondents supported the integration of Ukraine into NATO, and in Poland this idea was supported by 67%. The survey involved 7 thousand respondents – one thousand people in each country; it was conducted from August to October 2018.
Of these, 48% are inclined to resolve the conflict in Ukraine with the help of UN peacekeepers. In Russia only 33% agree to this, in Ukraine 54%, and in Poland – 63%. 32% of the total number of respondents agree that sanctions against Russia should be expanded. In Ukraine it is 67%, in Poland – 62%, and in Germany only 17%.
It is noteworthy that 63% of all respondents believe that the crisis in Donbass is an internal Ukrainian problem that should be solved by Ukraine itself.
