The publication reports: “A sociological study conducted on behalf of the editorial staff of Newsweek (800 Poles were surveyed) showed that the majority of Poles do not believe in the possibility of a military clash between Russia and Poland. Only 11,4% believe that an armed conflict could break out between countries within a year. 57,2% of respondents consider this impossible. 31,5% answered “I don’t know.”
Urban residents are more skeptical about the issue of war than residents of small towns. Young people and women over 50 believe in the possibility of war.
The same editorial staff of Newsweek published a survey several months ago, according to which Poland is the first country in the world whose residents view Russia more negatively than positively.
