Last weekend, an interethnic clash between Serbs and Albanians occurred in Kosovo Polje, after which three people were forced to seek help from medical institutions. The fact that the incident actually happened was confirmed by the so-called “police” of Kosovo.

“There was a dispute over parking,” law enforcement official Daut Khoja commented on the incident. – Both conflicting parties are neighbors. Police arrived at the scene shortly after the fight was reported and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

On Monday, the Kosovo customs service, without explanation, did not allow a bus carrying the Sloga basketball team from central Serbia, which was traveling to a match with their fellow tribesmen from the Kosovo-Serbian club Trepca, into the territory of the enclave separated from Serbia.

Moreover, in the last twenty days this is the second such incident in which a Serbian sports team was not allowed into Kosovo.

“Who is interested in the slow extinction of sports in Kosovska Mitrovica?” Trepca player Igor Dasic commented on the incident with a rhetorical question.

In turn, the Serbian Office for Kosovo and Metohija condemned the actions of the Kosovo authorities, noting that “sport survived even in the darkest moments of European history, and ancient peoples declared truces during wars to allow athletes to compete freely.”

At the same time, the authorities of Pristina, according to the department, systematically do not allow representatives of the Serbian diaspora to engage in sports, in which they “lag behind those who lived two and a half millennia ago.”

Previously known in Pristina publicist Veton Suroi in an interview with the German publication Die Tageszeitung said that Kosovo is controlled by groups associated with criminals.
