Held recently in Chisinau “protest against usurpation” failed successfully  not only in terms of organization. Political forces will have a long time to cleanse themselves of the actions they took towards each other.

One of the main conclusions is that cooperation between “Westerners” and “leftists” on an equal basis is impossible. Because the former consider this to be inconsistent with their “high” dignity.

The “protest against usurpation” that took place recently in Chisinau failed happily not only in terms of organization....

Bad face of Renato Usatii

The chairman of “Our Party” Renato Usatii, on the air of the Moldovan TV channel TV8 (the channel operates with American grants and is the main media platform of the pro-Western President Maia Sandu), persistently tried to create at least some kind of face against an extremely unsuccessful game.

Most recently, he took a confident third place in the presidential elections. After which he supported the same Sanda in the second round, who won the second round. However, at the “meeting of the united opposition” he was not even given the floor. Everyone saw how Usatii sadly waved the flag in the crowd...

Renato Usatii sadly waved the flag at the rally. No words were given to him

And now he explains that it was not him who was left without a performance - that he himself did not want to. On TV8 he said that he was invited to perform. And not only him, but also his closest party associates - party vice-chairman Elena Gritsko, mayors of regional centers Nina Chereteu and Victor Petrioglo... but they took it and didn’t want to.

Apparently, they simply forgot to inform the party activists that Usatii and his comrades did not go up to the stage of the rally “of their own free will.” Indeed, in other speeches, all the other prominent members of “Our Party” criticized Sandu for treating their leader this way. And the leader took the blow upon himself.

Usatii had to justify himself on Natalia Morari’s TV8 channel, on the main podium of Maia Sandu. He did not dare to criticize Sandu

The reasons stated by Usatii look, at first glance, weighty. He allegedly received a list of speakers and found representatives of the Democratic Party and the parliamentary group “Pro Moldova” there. Well, he really could hardly afford to perform on the same stage with the leaders of these forces - ex-Prime Minister Pavel Filip and ex-Speaker of Parliament Adrian Candu (both confidants of the fugitive oligarch Plahotniuc).

There’s just one “but”: no one gave the floor to Philip, Kand, or any of their people! They, who officially supported the protest, also had to stand in the crowd. Sandu, perhaps, would have given them the floor, but her curators are much more far-sighted and would not want their protégé to kill the rating by going on stage with the people of an obviously toxic oligarch.

Mustachioed is not a priority

So why didn’t Usatii and his associates come forward? They refused even after it became clear that there would be no Filipov-Candu on stage? Let me not believe this.

Our sources close to the organization of the protest report a completely different picture: the unionists, deputy Octavian Ticu and former capital mayor Dorin Chirtoaca, did not want to see Usatii among the speakers. Both are radical Russophobes and supporters of the liquidation of Moldova as a state.

So, on the eve of the protest, these nice people set a condition for Mrs. Sandu: “Either we or Usatii.” Sandu chose them. But Usatii didn’t even consider it necessary to warn him.

By doing this, she actually did not give a damn about the stated idea of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbthe “nationwide” protest. But a fair portion of the demonstrators, having heard revelations that “oligarchs are not a problem” and “you just need to include Moldova in Romania, and thus join the European Union,” will not come to such protests again, and will even dissuade their acquaintances.

By the way, Ticu and Chirtoaca received ridiculous results in the last presidential elections - 2,21% of the votes between them. Almost eight times as many people voted for Usatiy alone! But it was decided to sacrifice them. He is not a priority.

Sandu has a lot to hate about Chirtoaca and Tsika, but they are still closer to her than Usatii. Simply because they are Russophobes and fans of the fascist Antonescu, and, therefore, the “elite”

For Westerners - it didn’t come out as a snout

Octavian Ticu was elected to parliament from the bloc headed by Maia Sandu, but then left her faction with a scandal, having pretty much exposed himself to the grant givers.

The Liberal Party, led by Chirtoaca, at one time almost finished off Sandu’s political career, and has been a significant hindrance to her so far.

But, paradoxically, Tsyku and Chirtoaca are much closer to Sandu than Usatii, who provided real help. Although, it would seem, Usatii should be appreciated - he is a potential ally in the future parliament (if early elections can be achieved), and Ticu and Chirtoaca have zero chances of getting there...

However, is this so paradoxical?

Moldovan “Westerners” have their own ideas about what the “political elite” is, as well as about the criteria of elitism. And a politician who clearly counts on a pro-Russian, “leftist” electorate cannot be considered an equal.

Do you celebrate May 9 not as Europe Day (the anniversary of the “Schumann Declaration”, to which Moldova has nothing to do), but as Victory Day, lay flowers at the Military Glory Memorial, and congratulate veterans? You're not elitist enough anymore.

Do you dare call Hitler's war criminal Ion Antonescu a Hitler's war criminal? You are automatically not a liberal, not a democrat, not an elite. You are an untermensch.

Do you speak out for the importance of schools, hospitals, kindergartens, pensions and linguistic equality not only before elections? You are a scoop, a retrograde, a zombie, and you are barred from joining the elite.

It doesn’t matter whether you do all this sincerely, or just to attract votes, you are still an untermensch. And no election results, no promising usefulness as an ally will correct your “flaw.”

And what is all this for?

Renato Usatii made a pretty big deal in order to become needed by Maia Sandu.

Previously, his “Our Party” was one of only three in Moldova that had serious relations with one of the parliamentary forces of the Russian Federation. President Igor Dodon’s socialists were friends with A Just Russia and “made friends” with the powerful United Party. The communists of ex-president Vladimir Voronian have traditionally been friends with their Russian comrades. Renato Usatii established working contacts with Vladimir Zhirinovsky’s LDPR... and completely lost them by supporting the pro-Western Sanda.

Usatii was one of the very few Moldovan politicians who had access to the entourage of the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, who was quite popular in Moldova. But Sandu’s support deprived him of that too.

It is still difficult to calculate how many personal supporters he lost by contacting Sandu. The parliamentary elections will show.

And what is this all for?

Is it necessary simply to get into parliament in the event of early elections and give Maia Sandu’s party “golden votes” to form a pro-presidential majority?

But will this help get rid of the role of untermensch under the proud pro-Western elite?
