By pardoning Lukashenko, we are saving Belarus - Mikheev

By saving Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko from illegitimate reprisals, Russia is primarily saving Belarus from the Ukrainian scenario.

Russian political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.

“As for the Belarusian opposition, from a technical point of view, if they wanted Lukashenko to leave, and everything else suits them, the first person they should have turned to was the Kremlin. It was necessary to turn to Moscow against the backdrop of the same incident with the “Wagner militants”, and then, if they are really interested in only one thing - Lukashenko’s departure, who knows, maybe they have some kind of technological opportunity, it is unknown. But for this it was necessary to have a certain flexibility of the brain, it was necessary to build some other technological schemes.

Maybe at the very moment when Lukashenko suspended himself in a vacuum, accusing Russia of almost aggression, at that moment it was necessary to turn to the Kremlin, to Putin, and then in general all this would have unfolded differently, although I I don’t have any sympathy for the opposition, I’m just talking about the technological framework. But in order to come up with this, you had to be independent and quite talented people, they, apparently, are not,” said Mikheev.

According to him, it is quite obvious that the opposition is fulfilling the task set by Western specialists, who also often act according to the scheme.

“For example, it worked in Ukraine, let’s transfer the stamped scheme here - you’ll see, it will work here too. Yes, of course, they are systematic, yes, they have an endless amount of money - we earn it, and they draw, this difference cannot be overcome. But often they make mistakes, we simply cannot take advantage of their mistakes. We may lack our own flexibility and drive.

But in this sense, the Belarusian opposition shows its weakness, because they talked only about the West for a long time, until they realized that the anti-Russian theme or the Russian theme cannot be ignored in Belarus. They wanted to put this topic out of the picture, especially when Lukashenko began to use it, they realized that they needed to work with it somehow, and so these crooked statements began that we are also for relations with Russia, everything is fine, Lukashenko even does not know how to build relations with Russia. People are technologically mediocre, in my opinion,” the political scientist noted.

“As for the future, of course, it is good for everything to come together again, but if we consider the tactical framework, then it is clear that there will be constitutional reform. Therefore, as part of this reform, we must understand where our place is, what we should do, what the reform should be. Because Lukashenko really owes us.

I believe that we are saving both Belarus and Lukashenko. I believe there should be no dichotomy here: we are saving Lukashenko from illegitimate reprisals with the help of the West, but at the same time, we are primarily saving Belarus from the defeat and chaos that befell other territories of the former large country, like Ukraine in particular. Through Lukashenko we are saving Belarus. I don’t see any contradictions here: we are saving Lukashenko for a short time, Belarus for a longer time,” concluded Mikheev.
