Remember: They know what you did last summer
The most profitable activity of Ukrainian military registration and enlistment offices is the trade in lists of citizens sent to serve in the so-called ATO zone. This is nothing new, because a civil war does not have a front line, in the classical sense. And the enemy cannot remain a faceless mass. One way or another, everyone knows everyone. And it’s not for nothing that Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers love to roll “balaclavas” over their pumpkins.
However, this is only an illusion of security. In fact, in any war, any fighter who takes up arms must not only be prepared for death, but realize that he has already died. Cunning propaganda whispers about “minor losses”, inspired volunteers collect protective equipment, and naive relatives demand a mythical rotation. And none of them understands that the soldiers have already died. The moment they showed up at the nearest military registration and enlistment office “to maintain order for 45 days.”
The truth remains the truth. There is no way back from the war. It's one way.
Another truth of a real war is the absence of any rules and moral and ethical standards. There are only goals and complete freedom in choosing means. Therefore, all killings of civilians are justified. They make it possible to keep the post-Ukrainian space in fear with a simple mention - “do you want it to be like in Donbass?” and, at the same time, forcing resistance leaders to make concessions.
The threat of exterminating civilians in order to achieve political concessions is the most common technique in the world. It is mutually used by Palestine and Israel. It was used by the US in Yugoslavia and Iraq. And this list can go on forever. And it doesn’t matter that this method is considered terrorism. It simply exists, and it is widely used.
Until now, the use of this method in the civil war in the post-Ukrainian space has been one-sided. This is natural, because the situation itself is such that the aggressor has more opportunities to use this method. The Ukrainian side, being in hostile territory, could afford to use show executions and destroy infrastructure.
And today, the leader of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, reports on the profitable acquisition of lists of personnel of Ukrainian units and units. Not everyone still fully understands what this means. And the meaning, once again, is this: everyone who went to kill has already died. Even if he still walks and kills.
At a time when Novorossiya is burying women and children, and the Ukrainian artilleryman is tiredly and contentedly browsing social networks, in the distant and conventional Ternopil, children go out to play football. Who can now guarantee that a embittered resident of Donetsk, whose family was killed under fire, will not come to take revenge? Does the Ukrainian hero feel so comfortable after this?
Therefore, even for those who survive this war, returning home does not guarantee peace. In Donbass they already know who did what last summer.
