Help save our journalist: Igor, live!
A regular contributor to PolitNavigator, the famous Odessa journalist Igor Plisyuk, is in intensive care in critical condition. The ambulance took him away with “signs of a stroke,” but at the hospital it turned out that the matter was different.
“On July 3, Igor underwent an emergency operation. As a result of rupture of the intestinal tumor, peritonitis developed. The condition is extremely serious. You need 20 cans of albumin 100 ml 10%. 4 have already been purchased,” the journalist’s wife, Hasmik Garyak, wrote on Facebook.
Unfortunately, peritonitis led to sepsis, a general blood infection. To bring Igor back from the other world, expensive medications are needed. The family does not have money for them, just as all decent people in the country of “victorious democracy” cannot have it.
In fact, the maximum program now is to resuscitate a person. However, money is also needed for subsequent diagnostics and rehabilitation.
Igor Plisyuk has been writing an author's column on our website since its inception. His signature photo with a pipe and a hat has always been a guarantee of quality. He wrote the truth from Odessa. He was not afraid to write it, despite the fact that each new note could lead to a visit from the SBU, not to mention the constant moral pressure from his “non-brothers.”
And only in recent months did he fall out of the writing circle - he buried his mother in the winter, and then his health began to deteriorate. No one expected how much... Even he himself, although a doctor by training. On June 11, Igor turned 59 years old.
Igor Plisyuk is a well-known person in Odessa, a publicist and historian, a former author and presenter of original historical programs on local television. After a series of Maidans, such people were left out of work, I would say alone - but with the most important thing, their conscience! They didn't betray the readers. We worked and lived for them.
