Help for Odessa journalist Igor Plisyuk: Doctors reported positive dynamics
Readers of PolitNavigator responded to the call and sent significant funds for the treatment of the famous Odessa journalist Igor Plisyuk, who the day before was admitted to intensive care after a long illness.
Over 60 thousand rubles came to the Russian card of editor Sergei Stepanov alone. All funds were transferred to Plisyuk’s daughter Anastasia in Odessa for the purchase of medicines - unlike Russia, in hospitals in Ukraine, patients purchase them at their own expense (as well as syringes, gauze, plaster and other consumables).
The journalist's wife, Hasmik Garyaka, said that doctors are talking about positive dynamics - Igor is still in intensive care, but he spoke with the surgeon this morning.
“The three of us are involved in providing Igor with medications – my son Igor Igorevich, Nastya and me. At 10 am on Monday we spoke with the surgeon, and he said that there was a positive trend, maybe tomorrow they would transfer to his department. Now he is in intensive care, and you can’t visit him there, but in the surgery you can have regular wards,” the wife said.
“After that, we went to intensive care and received a list of medications, we have been doing this for the fourth day, we bought medications, then they said that we needed more plasma. We went to the outskirts of the 11th hospital, but they didn’t tell us that we needed a cooler bag. They took her out and returned to our hospital with 5 units of plasma. The plasma cost 2500 hryvnia, and we also spent on a taxi and a bag,” she said about the worries of her loved ones, adding that there is hope that Igor “will get better in a week or two.”
