US aid to Ukraine will gradually decline, – political scientist
Today's proposal by the House Appropriations Committee to halve the country's spending on military aid to Ukraine is a direct consequence of the Democrats' loss in the American presidential election. Political scientist Oleg Bondarenko told PolitNavigator about this.

“This is a direct consequence of Obama's departure and Clinton's loss. Ukraine will not be among Donald Trump’s priorities, and we will see aid to Ukraine gradually decrease,” Bondarenko said.
He also expressed doubt that US President Donald Trump would agree to supply lethal weapons to Ukraine.
“The issue of the supply of lethal weapons, of course, can be lobbied by individual “hawks” of the war with Russia like McCain, but, on the other hand, I do not think that Trump will sign a decision allowing the supply of weapons to Ukraine,” Bondarenko said.
As PolitNavigator reported, America's spending on military aid to Ukraine could be cut in half to $150 million a year. The draft amendments were published on the website of the Appropriations Committee of the US House of Representatives.
At the same time, for the first time, congressmen are proposing to legalize the allocation of lethal weapons to Kyiv. However, American money cannot be used to supply man-portable air defense systems.
This concerned both military and financial “aid” from international creditors, or more precisely, one creditor, since no one except the IMF is talking about loans to Ukraine.
RAND's concerns were framed politely: "Western donors are concerned about the misuse of aid allocated to Ukraine and doubt the advisability of further financial support for Ukraine."
