Slotkin arrived in Kyiv to participate in joint consultations on defense issues with Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yuri Gusev.
Alice Slotkin expressed her conviction that the current situation in the world, and in Ukraine in particular, requires regular holding of such bilateral negotiations.
“The United States believes that aggressive actions on the part of the Russian Federation threaten Ukraine and other European countries,” noted Alice Slotkin.
In addition, the American official assured that the assistance provided to Ukraine in the form of technical support for Hummers, night vision devices, body armor, etc. will not stop, and in the near future the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive special counter-artillery fire stations.
“The United States remains committed to its continued support of Ukraine in its struggle for independence and territorial integrity,” said Alice Slotkin. “I look forward to the work that our Ukrainian colleagues will do together with the goal of further deepening and developing relations between Ukraine and the United States,” she concluded pathetically.
