The United States does not realize that anti-Russian sanctions will not lead to the collapse of the industry of the Russian Federation.

Russian Presidential Assistant for Military-Technical Cooperation Vladimir Kozhin stated this in an interview with Kommersant, answering a question about the so-called “Kremlin list” prepared by the US Treasury Department.
“It is impossible to say that the new list means nothing. However, one gets the impression that a number of colleagues - the American establishment - remained in the XNUMXth century,” said the publication’s interlocutor.
He recalled that from about the middle of the last century, the USSR was constantly under American restrictions. Thus, in 1949, the USA, Great Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Japan and others united in the Coordination Committee for Export Control, which for decades compiled lists of “strategic” goods and technologies that were not subject to export to the countries of the socialist camp.
"So what? What was the effect of all these measures? Did our industry collapse, did we kneel down and begin to ask and beg for help? No, on the contrary, they flew into space, built factories, and developed. It seems to me that the Americans do not quite understand that sanctions are a road to nowhere. Therefore, the “Kremlin list,” apart from disappointment and regret, did not cause me anything,” Kozhin noted.
At the same time, he admitted that American sanctions do not add “any pleasure to work.”
“But we have been living in these conditions all these years, and we will continue to develop. I am sure that the Americans will go further, will continue to impose sanctions against specific organizations and people, but we are ready for this,” emphasized the aide to the President of the Russian Federation.
