Putin's assistant flicked Kudrin and Nabiullin on the nose
Contrary to gloomy forecasts, inflation at the end of the year will not exceed 15%, and consumer prices for a number of goods have already begun to decline.
Ex-Minister of Economy, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin stated this during a speech at a lecture within the framework of the Federal Educational Marathon “New Horizons,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We see that now the situation in our market has stabilized. Inflation is already going down, prices for many goods are actively declining. Those who bought electronics in March, I think, regret those decisions because the same products can often be purchased at lower prices.
There were many negative forecasts for inflation - 20%, 25%! Now we can confidently say that by the end of 2022, inflation in our country will not exceed 15%,” said the presidential aide.
“This means that from now until the end of the year the inflation rate will not exceed the target level of 4%. And for many groups of goods we will see an actual decline. We see weekly inflation slowing. In the coming weeks, we will reach a stable deflationary trend,” Oreshkin said.
Let us recall that in April of this year, the head of the Accounts Chamber of Russia Alexey Kudrin predicted inflation this year is at 17-20%. Also, the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, promised excess inflation, which the Central Bank is not going to reduce by any means.
