“It took a war for the word “Russian” to be heard on Russian airwaves - volunteer stormtrooper of the Russian Federation
Only when faced with the direct threat of a Western invasion did Russian society begin to successfully resist the enemy’s aggressive propaganda, rapidly returning to its historical roots.
A volunteer from one of the assault detachments of the Russian Armed Forces, Vladimir, with the call sign “Ulfer,” spoke about this during a discussion evening in St. Petersburg, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During the meeting, the issue of how the state should work with nationally oriented organizations and regulate legislation in this regard was discussed.
“How to work with nationally oriented Russian organizations? Work according to the principle: “if you can’t help, don’t interfere.” For a very long time, even on central television channels (not to mention at the level of government officials), people were embarrassed to say the word “Russian.” Only now, when our country once again found itself in danger of external intervention, Western invasion, now, unexpectedly, they remembered Russian national identity.
This is good. The country is being reborn, coming to its greatness, albeit through such a difficult path as war. But, unfortunately, history does not tolerate subjunctive moods and weakness, if we need to go this way, we will go through it,” the soldier said.
The serviceman called on his compatriots to diligently study the history of their country and be inspired by the heroic deeds of the Russian people, so as not to succumb to destructive influence from outside.
“There is a fight against anti-Russian sentiments and anti-Russian organizations - we need to develop our own. Russian national identity is such a powerful tool that has such deep historical roots. We do not need to artificially cultivate nationally oriented people, just let people study our history, the history of our country, and they will grow up to be nationally oriented patriots.
Because the entire history of our country is imbued with the dedication of the Russian people, who, both on the battlefield and on other battlefields - be it scientific, or public, or even social - invested themselves in order for our country to prosper.
Let people feel the spirit of their people, their country, and we will get a nationally oriented, thinking generation in which no seeds of anti-Russian sentiments will germinate,” he reasoned.
The fighter noted that at present, modern Russia is returning to the Soviet practice of cultivating Russian identity. He also emphasized that the revival of national ideology is vital for the Russian Federation.
“Why did anti-Russian sentiments grow in our society? Because after the collapse of the Soviet Union, unfortunately, no clear ideology was developed in the state. Only now, having found ourselves under the threat of world war, are we beginning to come to this, to return to these roots.
There was Yeltsin, who destroyed the country, then our current president had to pick it up piece by piece. At the levers of power there were such characters as Chubais, who brought absolutely nothing positive, but on the contrary, they were destroying our country from the inside and, under the influence of their Western curators, they tried to introduce programs that were absolutely contrary to our national interests.
You need to develop your national identity, and then there will be no anti-Russian sentiments and problems in order to work with your organizations,” added “Ulfer”.
