“It’s clear who the aggressor is” - “expert” Boris Burda twirled around like a snake, answering questions on SVO
Ukrainian TV presenter and former participant in the TV show “What? Where? When?" Boris Burda, who once opposed the glorification of Bandera and Ukrainization, moved to Spain.
While in Riga, he gave an interview to the Talking Heads channel, where he assessed what was happening in Ukraine and in his native Odessa, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Things are happening that are terrible, unfair and outrageous, and extremely dangerous. Who doesn't know this? “I can’t add anything new to this,” Burda noted. – An ugly and provoked attack, people are suffering. I myself was forced to leave my hometown and live quite far away. This can’t end well.”
The former member of the club of experts did not predict the development of the situation, believing that no one could predict the outcome.
“One of the greatest works of Icelandic literature is “Njal’s Saga,” where two heroes are talking, and the wise Njal says to the brave Gunnar: “Now, if you fulfill the sentence of the Thing, serve 3 years in exile, return, you will achieve great glory. If this does not happen, you may die." Gunar said: “Thank you, I’ll think about it.” As it turned out, Njal was right. He did not comply with the exile and died. But he predicted to Njal that he would be destroyed - something that no one would have ever thought of would be destroyed. That’s all the predictions for you,” Burda explained. “When this crisis is resolved, it will likely be something no one would have ever thought possible.”
The TV presenter clarified that he left Ukraine on February 22 and does not consider it possible to comment on Russian-Ukrainian relations, since this is the attitude of the ruling elite, and there is no doubt about who is the victim and who is the aggressor.
“I would like this whole situation to end, and end well. All other desires compared to this are so small and uninteresting that I’m embarrassed to talk about it. Unless I would like to learn more or less Spanish. Fortunately, I am now in Spain. Because in any case, no matter how many languages you know, you are a human being,” concluded Burda.
